We were delighted that Ros Byam Shaw accepted our invitation to give the first of a series of talks and events planned to build on the recent refurbishment and replanning of the Guy Goodfellow Collection showroom and continue to heighten the profile generally of Langton Street as a great design destination. Guy Goodfellow very generously offered the use of his iconic first floor Long Room and Ros acted as the expected strong magnet to ensure a wonderful turn out for this invitation only event.
Ros took us back to her earliest days at the World of Interiors and with a wonderful collection of images from her ‘Life in Other People’s Houses’ was able to give us an understanding of Interiors from her journalistic and author’s perspective as well as provide some great stories behind some of the articles.
The next picture is of a corner of the Long Room, which was not wrecked by the screen and over 50 chairs needed for the talk. Huge thanks to Guy for his generosity in allowing us to use the iconic Long Room and for James helping to set up the room and decorate it so beautifully with beautiful flowers.
After the talk we repaired to the showroom downstairs for an enjoyably extended evening. Major thanks also to Immie, Rebeccca and Sophie for all the help provided in making the evening such a success.
