We are thrilled that Grosvenor decided to offer us the lease on 20A Pimlico Road. After receiving the keys on 9th September, we got down to it and opened one week later on 16th September in time for design week on Pimlico Road. This deadline was only met with massive help from Nick Jewell and Garry White of Colchester Lister, who decorated the whole frontage of the shop including papering the front room in our Chinese Greens handblock wallpaper.
The shop is a charming Victorian listed building with two large display windows, in which, as well our own products, we will always look to feature the work of selected artists
The first feature being the spectacular shell artistry of Blott Kerr-Wilson, who hosted a wonderful and well attended talk on Tuesday 18th September. In late October, the wonderful ceramic artist, Phoebe Cummings will create a work in our main window and host formal and informal talks during and after its creation.
The front room of the showroom is decorated as an everchanging room set using JET Collection Fabrics and Wallpapers and selected furniture, artwork and some of the decorative items from our shop. Key parts of this first fit out include Peter Lloyd Jones, Cherry Harrison, Rush Matters, Brownrigg, Acres Farm, Katerina Gibb and Paul Lewinski.
The inner room is set up as a display and scheming room with a system of copper racking installed by Julian Day, on which we are able to display and hang large pieces of the whole JET Collection.
We are grateful to Grosvenor for offering us the opportunity for the JET Collection to take a next important step in its development. We look forward to welcoming existing and new clients to visit us in Pimlico Road.
